I mentioned in my last post that I was having a pretty good time since leaving my guild. I also said I’d share some of that with you.  It’s taken me longer than I would have liked, but I have a lot to report!  Before I do that, however, I’d like to take a minute to thank everyone who took the time to leave me a comment on my previous post. I know it was long, thank you for hanging in until the end.

Okay, now onto the fun.  Gquitting Summit has proven to be one of the best in-game decisions I’ve ever made.  I miss being guilded with my husband and some of my friends, but for me personally, it was a really, truly good decision.  I’ve never been more pleased to log in.  The thing is, I’ve always been something of a solitary soul.  I enjoy the solo aspects of the game.  I’m not much of a group player and never have been.  I’ve also not been in many guilds.  Summit is only really the third guild I’ve been in, the second “raiding” guild.  I just like being solo!

The night I gquit

The night I left Summit, I was a wreck.  I had a really hard day that day and a couple of my friends in-game asked me to go to Magisters Terrace.  They had been running it with me for the preceding two or three days in an attempt to help me get the Swift White Hawkstrider mount.  I agreed to go, being grouped with them cheered me up.  We made a quick run and lo and behold, the mount dropped!  The two of them both have it.  So, I got myself a new mount and picked up the Runed Living Ruby design while I was at it.  (I love you, Eris & Larthin!).  It really meant a lot to me that they were willing to run it with me and help me out.

I stayed up all night that night, just sort of putting around.  My husband was working, so I was here alone and had nothing more productive to do.  I spent a few hours trying to pull up the rat in the sewers, to no avail, before deciding I was going to go for the Northrend Angler Achievement.  I ran out to Borean Tundra to start the trek when, fishing in a pool with my newly attached lure, I pulled up the Sea Turtle Mount!!

Since then…

I’ve been spending all my game time in game working toward achievements that I’ve been wanting!  Here’s the run down on what I’ve been doing:

Then there was today…

I’ve taken to logging out in the Legerdemain Lounge, upstairs, next to the awesome painting.  The motivation for this is pretty simple, I felt like it would increase my shot at getting the book that spawns there.  Yesterday when I logged in, there it was.  My heart nearly skipped a beat.  After that book, I needed one more!  I went and camped for the last book I needed last night for a few hours with some random peeps from Silvermoon.  We had a good time doing something so mundane.  Sadly, after two hours, the book that spawned was a dud and we all went our separate ways.

Today I ran back over there and spent some time this afternoon, alone this time, sitting on the balcony waiting for the book.  Today, the book wasn’t a dud.  Today, the book was the real thing and it spawned after only one hour!  I got my Higher Learning achievement and, more importantly, I got my very own Kirin Tor Familiar!!

Up next…

I’m working on the Loremaster achievement’s!!  I only have about 190 quests left in Eastern Kingdoms.  Sadly, I have about 300 quests in Kalimdor, all but two zones in the Outlands, and half of every zone in Northrend to work through.  It’s going to be a while, but that’s my goal.  I would love to have the Loremaster title and colors.

I’m also going to start working on the Argent Tournament again.  Oh the grind!

I’ve plans to work on Sporeggar & Timbermaw rep for the Diplomat title.  I’m planning to work on Netherwing & Skyguard rep for the mounts.  Then I’ll start Argent reps & Cenarion reps.

Oh, and there’re pets to be had, so I’m going to spend each weekend trying to grind for one.  First up, Azure Whelp!  It took me 36 hours of grinding to get that whelp on Mae.  Time to do it all again!
